Minorities in Higher Education: 22nd Annual Status Report

From 1993 to 2003, minority enrollment at U.S. colleges and universities rose by 50.7% to 4.7 million students, according to this report from the American Council on Education. African American and Hispanic students still lag behind their white peers, however; in 2002-04, 47.3% of white high school graduates age 18 to 24 attended college compared with 41.1% of African Americans and 35.2% of Hispanics.

Perceptions of College Financial Aid Among California Latino Youth
