ACT National Curriculum Survey 2005-2006
ACT, Inc. recently released the results of a national curriculum study that surveyed high school and college instructors across the country. The findings document a gap between what high schools teach students in college preparatory courses and what colleges want incoming students to know. Responses suggest that college instructors prefer students to have in-depth mastery of a smaller number of fundamental skills, while high schools tend to provide less in-depth instruction on a broader range of topics.
