Relationship to framework |
Pre-college outreach programs help underserved students prepare for, access, and succeed in postsecondary education. Also called early intervention or college preparation programs, they target students who are at risk of not applying to, attending, or graduating from college. These students often come from low-income families, have parents who did not attend college, and/or are of an ethnicity underrepresented in higher education. Outreach program services are designed to supplement the assistance students receive from their schools and families. |
