The Awareness Tools are focused on developing the universal expectation that all students are capable of enrolling and succeeding in postsecondary education. These tools have been designed to help toolbox users create a sense of urgency and develop a call to action.
The following tools are included in this section:
- A Shared Agenda - The Pathways to College Network's call-to-action document for leaders at all levels.
- Talking Points - Typical questions you may encounter when discussing the topic of "college for all" and some sample answers.
- Issue Information - Background information on providing all students with academic preparation and support for college.
- P-16 Glossary - A list of important P-16 terminology.
- Assessing My Role - A tool to help practitioners examine their roles in ensuring that all students are prepared for postscondary education. For principals, teachers, counselors, administrators, and outreach professionals.
- Teacher's Self-Reflection - A tool to help teachers reflect on their expectations for student achievement.
- Modeling Expectations - A tool that provides practitioners with a context for discussing how students interact with adults around the issues of college preparation and access.
- The College Track - A compelling three-part TV documentary that shares the stories of 9 students as they attempt to navigate the college track; Focused on underserved students.
- College Access Marketing - A website that explains how to use marketing techniques to encourage students to pursue college.
