A Data Checklist
Relationship to framework
One way to create and sustain a vision is through the use of appropriate data and quality evaluations. Data can be the lynchpin to successful school reform, as it helps to replace guesses with facts regarding areas of necessary change, identify problems rather than symptoms, assess needs, establish goals, and determine achievement of goals.
Purpose
To help practitioners determine what data they have and how they collect it and to focus on what data system they need to make changes designed to increase college preparedness.
Outcomes
Schools and outreach programs will identify:
- Information they have about student progress toward postsecondary access and success.
- Information they need to more effectively monitor student progress toward postsecondary access and success.
